Spiral of Life (Papago Park)

A work titled Spiral of Life at the Civic Center, Papago Park / City Boundary Project, initiated in 1990 by the Phoenix Art Commission and the Scottsdale Cultural Council (completed ~April 1992), per Oakes own acknowledgments in the 1995 book. NOTE: shares its title with the distinct 1985 redwood Spiral of Life in Beverly Hills; Oakes reused titles across works (cf. the Gestation series). The Papago Park/City Boundary site also featured Jody Pintos work, so exact authorship of components there should be verified.
